Wild flower


A wild flower grows
not in the wilderness
but in the midst
of a concrete jungle

outwardly it looks
part of the natural landscape
it's heart beats
for all the creatures
and beings around it

yet, each day
it looks up and around
seeming to look for something else
its eyes probing
wondering...

among these beating hearts and souls
will  there be someone
who will beat in tandem
with this wild flower.
